S K Electronics is tucked away on Reliance Rice Mill Street in Kondithope. If you know Chennai, you know how busy these streets get. Our shop is at 13/7, and it is usually packed with parts and old sets. We do a lot of repairs and sell various components. It is a bit of a mess sometimes with all the wires and soldering irons lying around. We have been in this spot for years. The smell of solder is pretty much stuck in the walls now. We do not have a fancy showroom. It is more of a workshop where people bring things that stopped working. Sometimes we can fix them right away, other times it takes a week to find the right part. We talk to the customers about what is wrong without using too much technical talk. Most people just want their stuff to work again. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We are not a big chain store. It is just a local shop where we know our tools. People from around Kondithope come to us because they know where we are. We do not do much in the way of sales pitches. We just look at the machine and tell you if it is worth fixing. That is how we run things here. It is honest, everyday work for us at S K Electronics.
