Being right near the Alwarpet Signal makes our location for Rsrs Trinity Acute Care Hospital quite easy to find, even if the traffic around here is usually a mess. We sit at No.33 Desikan Road right in the middle of Mylapore. It’s a very lively spot. You can usually hear the horns honking from the signal all day long while we are inside working. This hospital is focused on acute care, which means we see a lot of people who need medical help immediately. It’s not a corporate place where everything looks perfect and polished. Things can get a bit chaotic at times, especially during the shift changes when everyone is moving around the halls. We have nurses and doctors who have lived and worked in this area for years. The building is a bit older but it serves its purpose for what we need. We don't spend much time on fancy decorations or anything like that. Our day is mostly filled with checking charts and talking to families in the hallways. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold in the lobby, and other times it feels like the afternoon heat from the street is coming right through the walls. We just keep at it because people in Mylapore count on us being here. It is a straightforward operation. We show up, we do the medical work, and then we go home. It feels like a real part of the local community because we are in the thick of things.
