Rita Engineering

You can find us at No:5 on North Street in Thiruvothiyur. This is an old neighborhood, and our shop has been part of it for a long time. Rita Engineering is a small place, nothing like those big factories you see on the news. We do basic engineering work, which involves a lot of manual labor and using machines that have been around for years. It’s a noisy environment, and there’s usually metal scrap piled in the corners. We don't have a marketing department or any fancy signs to attract customers. Most of the people who come to us are neighbors or local business owners who have known us for years. We don’t use any corporate jargon or make big promises. We just look at what needs to be fixed or made and we do our best with it. Sometimes we run out of a specific type of metal and have to wait for a delivery, which can be frustrating, but that’s life. The shop is a bit dark inside, but we have enough light to see what we are doing. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It’s a very simple and straightforward way to earn a living. We like the independence of being on North Street. We don't have any big missions, just the goal of getting the daily work finished so we can go home. It feels good to finish a hard job and see the results sitting on the workbench.
