Sm Engineering

Sm Engineering is located over in Perungudi, specifically at Plot 12 on Ramachandra Street in Saravana Nagar. It is a bit of a trek to get here if the traffic is bad, but it is a good spot for us. We have a decent amount of space for our tools and the projects we are working on. The floor is concrete and there is always a bit of grease somewhere, no matter how much we sweep. We are not a high-tech lab. We are a workshop where things get built and repaired. Most of us have been doing this kind of work since we were young. We learned by doing, not by sitting in a classroom. We do not have a fancy website or a person to answer the phones with a script. You usually just talk to whoever is closest to the phone when it rings. We take on all sorts of engineering jobs, some big and some very small. We do not turn much away if we have the tools for it. It gets hot in the afternoons, so we usually have a few fans going at full blast to keep the air moving. We just focus on the task at hand and try to make sure nothing leaves the shop unless it is actually fixed. It is a plain way of doing things, but it has worked for Sm Engineering for a long time now. We just like fixing things.
