Being located on Arcot Road in Kodambakkam means it’s always loud outside with the traffic. Rajkeerth Aromatic And Biotech Pvt. Ltd. has been at this address for several years. We do a lot of work with extracts and different biotech processes. The lab smells like various herbs and chemicals most of the time, which you get used to after a week or two. It’s a mix of science and just regular manual labor. We have some heavy equipment in the back that needs constant maintenance. Some days everything works perfectly, and other days we’re spending hours fixing a leaky valve. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know how the machines act. We don’t really do any fancy marketing; we just focus on the batches we have to finish by the end of the week. It’s a lot of testing and re-testing to make sure things are okay. The office part is mostly just a few desks covered in logbooks and samples. We keep the gate closed because of the street noise, but we’re usually inside working away. It’s a specialized field, but for us, it’s just the daily routine. We take our breaks together and talk about whatever is going on in the city. It’s a decent place to work.
