Raj Chematics

You have to go up to the second floor at 43 Acharappan Street to find Raj Chematics. It’s an old part of the city, and the stairs are a bit steep, but we’ve been here for years. Acharappan Street is always crowded with people and carts, so it’s never quiet. We work with various chemicals and industrial supplies, so there’s often a bit of a faint smell in the air, though we’ve stopped noticing it. The office is packed with ledgers, samples in glass bottles, and a lot of old furniture that has seen better days. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who handle the orders and the billing. It gets hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We know most of the other shop owners on the street, and we often send someone out to get tea for everyone around mid-morning. It’s a very traditional way of doing business, where we know our customers by name and often talk about more than just the orders. We don’t have a website or anything like that because word of mouth has always been enough for us. It’s just a simple, straightforward operation in a busy, old-fashioned part of the neighborhood. We focus on the daily tasks and make sure the deliveries happen on time without any unnecessary complications.
