Rain Tree Hotel

You can find us at number 120 on St Mary's Road, right across from where the old H M Hospital used to be. Alwarpet is a busy area, and we have been sitting on this corner for quite some time now. The 600018 area has a lot going on, so we stay pretty active. It's a hotel, so we have rooms and the usual stuff you'd expect. It’s not a giant glass tower, just a building where we try to keep things clean and comfortable for anyone staying over. The staff here is a small group, and we handle everything from the front desk to the rooms ourselves. We don't have a big corporate office telling us what to do every minute. Sometimes the lift takes a second longer than you'd like, or the lobby gets crowded during check-in, but we manage. We just want to make sure the beds are made and the bathrooms are tidy. It’s a lot of physical work, honestly. We spend a lot of time walking up and down the halls. Being near the old hospital site makes us easy to find for people who know the neighborhood. We don't do much advertising; mostly it's just people seeing the sign while driving by. We just focus on the basics of running a hotel and keep our heads down. It’s a simple business for us in Chennai, and we just keep the doors open for anyone needing a room.
