Hotel The Residency ,Chennai

We are located over in T.V.K Nagar. If you know Paul Vargees Street, that is where you will find us at number 2/21. It is Hotel The Residency. It is not one of those massive glass buildings you see in the city center. We are more of a local spot for people coming to Chennai. People come here when they need a place to stay that is not too complicated. Chennai can get pretty hot, so we try to keep things comfortable enough for everyone. The staff has been here for a good bit now. We know the neighbors on the street. We have got the rooms and the usual things you would expect. Nothing is too over the top here. Our neighborhood is a mix of houses and small shops. It feels like a real community. We have had the same neighbors for years. Sometimes we have to fix a leaky tap or paint a wall, but that is just part of keeping a hotel going. We do not have a fancy chef, just good local food that people seem to like well enough. The lobby is small, but it is a good place to sit and wait for a rickshaw. We try to keep the rooms tidy and the sheets fresh. It is a lot of laundry and cleaning every single morning. We do not go in for all those fancy programs. We just aim to be a decent place to rest.
