Citrine Hotel, Bangalore

Our place is called Citrine Hotel, Bangalore, even though we are actually located in Chennai. You can find us at No. 28, which used to be Old No. 56, on Nagappa Iyer Street. We are in the Triplicane area, with the pin code 600 005. It can be a bit confusing with the name, but this is where we operate. Triplicane is a very old and busy part of Tamilnadu. The streets are narrow and full of history. Our building has been here for a while. We aren't one of those massive luxury hotels with gold ceilings. We are more of a practical place for people to stay when they are visiting the city. The rooms are simple and we try to keep everything clean and tidy. It’s a bit of an old-school way of running things. We don't have a big marketing department. Mostly, we just talk to the guests when they check in and try to make sure they have what they need. Nagappa Iyer Street is usually quite loud with all the bikes and people walking by. It’s a lively neighborhood. We’ve seen many travelers come through our doors over the years. Some are here for work and some just to see the sights. We just do our best to run the place without any fancy airs. It’s just us, working in Triplicane, trying to keep the hotel running smoothly for whoever needs a bed for the night. We don't mind the questions about our name. It's a good way to start a conversation with a new guest.
