It is a very busy neighborhood, especially with the cricket stadium nearby. You can always hear the sounds of the city from our windows. Mosque Street is a narrow place but it has a lot of life. Our daily routine is pretty basic. We come in, check the messages, and get to work. Being in Chepauk means we are close to the coast so the air always smells a bit like the sea. We are not a giant skyscraper office. It is more of a traditional building setup. We handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes work for the business here. It is often hot in Chennai so the fans are always spinning in the office. We have a small team and we've worked together for a long time. There is no need for big corporate talk here. We just say what we mean and do the work. Sometimes we have to stay late when things get busy but nobody complains much. It’s just how it goes in the hospitality industry. We like being in this part of Chennai. It feels real and grounded. 11/23 Mosque Street is home for us during the work week and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep the wheels turning for the hotel and try to get things done right.
