Hotel Apollo Sinbdoori Ltd

Our hotel is located in Avadi, specifically on the second street in B.V. Puram. It’s quite close to the Ayyappa temple, so you can often hear the bells and the chanting in the early mornings. Being at No:49 means we are right in the thick of the local neighborhood life here in Chennai. The weather is almost always hot, so we spend a lot of time making sure the fans and the cooling are working right for the guests. It’s a busy street with people going to work and kids heading to school. We have a small staff who have been with us for years. We aren't a five-star place with a pool, but we keep the floors swept and the rooms tidy. Sometimes the street gets a bit flooded when the heavy rains come, and we have to scramble to keep the entrance dry. The kitchen starts early to get the coffee and breakfast going. You can smell the sambar and the spices starting around six in the morning. We don't have any of those fancy automated check-in machines; we just use a big register book and a pen. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Most of our guests are regulars who come for work in the industrial areas nearby. We just try to provide a decent place to stay without making a big fuss about it. It is just a simple building where we do our daily jobs and look after the people who come through.
