Rahul Marbles & Granites

Our shop is on the 100 Feet Road in Arumbakkam, which is always noisy because of the traffic on Jawaharlal Nehru Salai. The address says New No 181 but some people still look for the Old No 8A. It can be a bit confusing for delivery drivers. At Rahul Marbles & Granites, we deal with a lot of granite and marble every single day. These slabs are incredibly heavy, so our guys spend a lot of time working with cranes and rollers. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Chennai, just a reliable one on this stretch of road. The showroom part is small because most of the space is taken up by the big pieces of stone leaning against the walls. You have to watch your step when you walk through here. We don't spend money on polished brochures or fancy uniforms. It’s mostly just us in our regular clothes, dealing with customers who want to know the price per square foot. We tell them what we have and show them the different grains in the stone. Sometimes we have to explain that natural stone has spots and lines you can't control. It’s not like plastic. We've been at this address for a good while, and we just focus on getting the slabs loaded up and sent out to the construction sites nearby. There is no magic to it, just keeping track of the inventory and moving the heavy stuff.
