Raavanan Masala

Raavanan Masala is located at Plot No. 77/3A on Mudichur Road. We are right near the Mudichur Bus Stop, so it's a place most locals pass by every single day. We deal with spices and mixtures here. It smells like coriander and chili most of the time when you walk inside. We started this because we wanted something of our own in the Mudichur area. It’s not a huge factory or anything impressive to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just us grinding things and packing them up. We use the machines we have and try to keep them running smooth. Sometimes they break and we have to fix them ourselves. We don't have a corporate office in some city center. This is our base. Most of our customers are people from around here or shops that have known us for years. We don't spend money on billboards or radio ads. Word of mouth works just fine for us. My hands usually smell like turmeric by the end of the shift. It’s hard work but it’s what we know. We don't pretend to be anything we aren't. We just want to make sure the packets we send out are full and the stuff is what we’d use in our own kitchens. That is the way we’ve always done it since we opened up on Mudichur Road. It is just a local business we run to keep everything moving along.
