Mother India Traders

Mother India Traders is tucked away at 20, Yami Street in Purasawalkam. This neighborhood is known for being very narrow and crowded, and Yami Street is no exception. It is a struggle to get a big truck down here sometimes, but we manage it somehow. Our building is an old one, and we use the ground floor for storing all the goods we trade. There are boxes stacked up almost to the ceiling in some places, and you have to know exactly where everything is or you will get lost. The office is just a small corner with a wooden desk and a computer that is a few years old. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to suppliers and checking on deliveries. The street outside is always full of people walking and vendors selling things. You can hear the sounds of the market all day long. It is a bit loud, but it feels alive. We have been at this location for a while, and the neighbors all know us. Sometimes we sit on the steps outside for a bit of fresh air, though the air in Purasawalkam isn't exactly fresh. We don't have a fancy showroom. People come here because they know we have what they need in the back. It is a busy life, moving boxes and keeping track of inventory, but it is what we do at Mother India Traders.
