R R Teacher Training Institute

Our institute is over in Tansi Nagar, which is part of the Velacheri area. We’ve been training teachers here for some time now. Velacheri has changed a lot lately with all the new shops, but our little corner remains pretty much the same. The building is straightforward, nothing too fancy to look at from the outside. We have some classrooms and a small space for the staff to sit and have their tea. We don’t go in for big advertisements or polished brochures. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend who studied here. The atmosphere is quite casual. We talk to the students like they’re our peers, which they mostly are. There’s no big corporate hierarchy here. If a desk is wobbly, we just fix it ourselves or find someone who can. We like the local feel of Tansi Nagar. There are plenty of small shops and places to eat around the corner. It makes it easy for the students to grab a snack between sessions. We focus on the practical side of teaching. It’s not about big theories for us; it’s more about how to manage a classroom in real life. We use simple English and don't try to sound more clever than we are. If you’re in Velacheri, you can find us without much trouble. We’re just a group of people helping others learn how to teach. It’s honest work and we enjoy the daily routine.
