Jai Marbles

Jai Marbles has been around Dr. Alagppa Road for a long time now. We are located at Newno 81, though some people still have the Old No. 31 stuck in their heads, which can lead to a bit of back and forth when we are giving directions over the phone. Puraswalkkam is a crowded place, and our spot is right in the middle of all that daily energy. The street is always moving. You can hear the horns and the people walking by outside all day long. Inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter, but we have marble slabs stacked up everywhere you look. It is a bit of a maze sometimes when we get a new shipment in. We don’t have a big fancy showroom with bright lights. It is more of a traditional shop where you see the actual material right in front of you. The dust from the stone is just part of the furniture here. We spend our days answering the phone and showing people the different batches we have in stock. It gets very hot in the afternoons, so we usually have the fans going full blast to keep the air moving. Working in Puraswalkkam means you get used to the tight spaces and the constant bustle of the market. We have been at this address on Dr. Alagppa Road for years, and while the city changes around us, the shop stays pretty much the same. It’s a simple way to work.
