Procurer Farmers Producer Company Limited is based at Door No 20, No 19, Sampanji Street. We are on the second floor in Samraj Nagar, which many people still call the Old GST Road area. This is in the part of Chennai that sits near Thiruvallur. We focus on procurement, which basically means we spend our whole day trying to get things from the farms to where they need to go. The office is usually full of samples and bags and plenty of paperwork. It’s not a very tidy place, but it’s a place where real work happens. We have a small group of people working here who all come from around this area. We don't have any corporate slogans on the walls. We just have a lot of calendars and phone numbers scribbled everywhere. The traffic on the road outside can be pretty loud, but we get used to it. We drink a lot of coffee to stay sharp. It is a lot of coordination and phone calls. Sometimes things don't go as planned and a truck gets stuck, so we have to figure it out on the fly. We don't try to sound like a big company because we aren't one. We are just a local group doing procurement work.
