Madaswamy Traders has been operating out of number 27 in Kilpauk for a good many years now. It’s a local spot where we handle all sorts of trading supplies. The building itself is nothing special, just a solid place to keep our stock and talk to the people who drop by. We’re usually busy loading or unloading something, so there's always a bit of activity going on. Kilpauk is a busy area, and we like being part of the mix here. We don't spend money on big ads or anything like that because most of our customers are locals who have been coming to us forever. It’s a simple setup. We have a small desk for the paperwork and the rest is just storage. Sometimes the inventory gets a bit backed up, but we manage to keep things moving. We don't use any high-tech systems, just some old notebooks and a decent memory for who needs what. If you come by, you’ll probably see one of us moving crates or checking the manifests. We keep regular hours, though sometimes we stay a bit late if a delivery is delayed. It’s just the way it goes in the trading business. We don't try to be anything we’re not. We just provide what people ask for and try to keep the prices fair for the neighborhood. It’s not about being the biggest, just about being reliable for the people who depend on us.
