Pride Hotel

It’s pretty busy here on Poonamallee High Road. We are at No 216, right next to Sangam Theatre in Kilpauk. If you know Chennai, you know how this area gets, especially when a big movie is playing next door and the traffic starts backing up. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. The building is right there on the main road, so it’s easy to find even if the noise never really stops. Inside, we just try to keep things moving. Most days, it’s just the usual routine of checking people in and making sure the rooms are ready. The humidity can be a bit much sometimes, but we have the fans and the AC going to keep it decent. We see a lot of people coming from the hospital nearby or just folks who need a place to stay while they handle business in this part of town. It’s not a fancy quiet retreat or anything like that, just a regular hotel on a very busy street. Sometimes we stand out front and watch the crowds heading into the theatre. It’s just how life is in Kilpauk. We’ve got our regulars and then people who are just passing through for a night. We don't do anything too complicated. It’s just us here at Pride Hotel, dealing with the daily stuff, keeping the floors clean, and making sure the water is running. That's pretty much what we do every single day from morning until night, trying to make the space work for anyone who stops by.
