Pothan Granites

You can find Pothan Granites at G-2, No. 14/42 on Senthil Andavar Koil Street in Dhanalakshmi Colony. It is a busy little street, and the temple nearby means there is always a lot of foot traffic and the sound of bells and people walking by. Our shop is right there in the middle of it all. We have different types of granite slabs leaning against the walls, and they take up a lot of space. It’s a bit of a narrow place, so we have to be careful when we are moving the heavy pieces so we don't bump into anything. The light isn't the best inside, so we often take the smaller samples out to the sidewalk to show people how they look in the natural sunlight. Working in Dhanalakshmi Colony is nice because there are plenty of tea stalls nearby where we can take a break. The stone work is heavy on the back, so those breaks are needed. We get a lot of local people coming in asking for small jobs or just looking for a bit of stone for a repair. We don't have a big office or a fancy computer system; we mostly just write things down in a ledger and keep track of the stock by looking at it. The dust is a constant battle, but that’s just life when you’re dealing with granite. We’ve been on Senthil Andavar Koil Street for a while now.
