Hannah Raj Impex

Our office is at No. 4 Parvathy Avenue, 1st Street, in Sakthi Nagar, Porur. Hannah Raj Impex is basically just a few of us working in this quiet residential area that has slowly turned more commercial. We handle importing and exporting stuff, so there is a lot of paperwork on our desks at any given time. The street outside is lined with some trees, which makes it a bit nicer than the main road. We have a couple of computers and a printer that jams way too often. Most of our day is spent checking emails and talking to the shipping guys to see where the crates are. It is a simple setup, nothing like those big glass buildings you see downtown. We have a small kitchen where we make coffee and sometimes heat up our lunch. The neighbors are mostly nice, though they complain if a big truck blocks the road for too long. We try to be quick with the loading and unloading. It gets pretty humid here in Porur, so we keep the fans on full blast all day long. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just moving goods from one place to another and trying to make a living. It’s a decent place to work and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the neighborhood. The evening commute can be a bit of a slog, but that is just Chennai for you.
