Popular Tea Company

I'm over at Plot No.33 on Periyar Road in Ayanavaram. It's a busy street and there is always something going on right outside the door. The shop is filled with bags of tea stacked up high. I spend a lot of time just moving them around to make space. It’s a bit cramped in here, but we make it work. The walls have some marks from where the crates have bumped into them over the years. I usually start the day by sweeping the front step because the dust from Periyar Road never seems to stop. People in Ayanavaram are always on the move, so it's a lively place to be. I don't use a computer much, mostly just a ledger and a pen to keep track of what comes in and what goes out. The ceiling fan wobbles a little when it’s on high, but it keeps the air moving. Sometimes I stand in the doorway just to catch a breeze. It’s a simple setup. No fancy carpets or bright lights here. We just focus on getting the tea out to the people who need it. My neighbor has a small shop too, and we often talk about the weather or the traffic. It’s just a normal day-to-day life running a business in this part of the city. We’ve been here a long time and the routine stays the same.
