You can find Papaka Herbs & Spices Pvt. Ltd. over at the City Centre building on Purasawalkam High Road. We are up on the second floor in suite 205. It’s a pretty busy part of town, so there is always a lot of noise coming up from the street, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. Our office isn’t huge, but it’s where we handle all the sourcing for the different herbs and spices we deal with. We spend a lot of our day on the phone talking to growers or checking on shipments that are coming into the city. Purasawalkam is a good place to be because everything is close by, even if the traffic on the High Road is a nightmare during rush hour. We don’t really have a big showroom; it’s mostly just desks, some samples in jars, and a lot of paperwork. Sometimes the smell of dried basil or turmeric hangs in the hallway, which the neighbors don't seem to mind too much. We aren’t a giant company with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us making sure the quality is what it should be. We’ve had this spot in City Centre for a while now, and it works for us. It’s easy for people to find once they get inside the building. We just keep our heads down, do the work, and try to get everything shipped out before the end of the day. It gets tiring but we manage somehow in the end.
