Panimalar Polytechnic

Panimalar Polytechnic is situated at No 23 in the Railway Colony area. We are on 2nd Street, just off Nelson Manickam Road in Aminjikarai. It is a location that is pretty easy to reach because of all the buses and the nearby train station. The building is a regular structure that has seen a lot of students pass through its doors over the years. We focus on various polytechnic courses here. The classrooms are simple with wooden benches and old-fashioned blackboards. You won't find any luxury here, just labs and rooms where people come to learn a trade or some engineering basics. The workshop area can get pretty noisy when the machines are running, and there is usually the smell of grease or cut metal in the air. We have a lot of young people coming in from different parts of the city every day. The staff room is always full of ledgers, attendance books, and tea cups. It is a busy place, especially in the mornings when the first bell goes off. During the lunch break, the students usually spill out into the colony streets to get some air. We don't have a giant campus with gardens, but we use the space we have as best as we can for the lessons. It is an old-school kind of place. We just focus on the classes and making sure the students know what they need to do for their practical exams.
