You can find us at 12/13 Mosque Street in Mylapore. Chennai is a big, crowded city, and Mylapore is one of the oldest parts of it. Our place is right there near the mosque, and it’s been part of the landscape for a long time. Working with chemicals means we have to be careful, so we spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure everything is stored where it should be. It’s not a shiny corporate office. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor is a bit worn down from years of moving drums and barrels around. The humidity in Chennai is no joke, and in our shop, you really feel it. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. If people need what we have, they usually just know where to find us. We’ve seen the street change a lot over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We spend our days handling orders and talking to the regular customers who’ve been coming to us for years. It’s just Orkay Chemicals, a small business in a busy part of town. We don't try to sound like something we aren't. We just provide the chemicals that people in the industry need and try to stay on top of the work. It’s a lot of repetitive tasks, but that’s the nature of the chemical supply business here in Tamilnadu. We stay open until the evening most days.
