Our place is situated at 734 Mount Road. It is a very old and busy road, so there is always the sound of horns and traffic filtering into the office from outside. We deal with various types of equipment, and because the items are often quite large, the ground floor is usually pretty packed with crates and machinery waiting to be moved. The building has been around for a long time, and you can tell by the way the walls look and how the floor creaks in certain spots. We don't have any of those fancy modern glass walls you see in the new parts of the city. It is just a practical space for us to do our business. Most of our time is spent on the phone or checking through technical manuals to make sure we have the right parts for people who need them. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up and the desks are hidden under files, but we eventually get through it all by the end of the week. It is just a small group of us working here. We’ve been at this address for a long time, so we know the local chai wallah and the other shop owners nearby quite well. It is a busy life, but it suits us just fine. We just focus on getting the equipment out to where it needs to go without too much fuss. There's usually a lot of dust because of the road, but we just deal with it.
