S. P. L. Granites

Our yard is located at 53a Iind Main Road in the Workers Estate area of Neelankarai. It’s a bit of a hike from the main city, but we like it here. The air is different being so close to the coast. We deal mostly in granite slabs. It’s a heavy business. Every day involves a lot of lifting and moving pieces with the crane. The yard is usually a bit of a mess with stone offcuts and water from the polishing tools. We don’t have a polished front office. If you come to see us, you’ll probably find us in our work gear. Neelankarai has become quite a hub for building materials lately. We get a lot of local contractors coming in to pick out stone for the new houses nearby. It’s a straightforward way to work. We don't have any big slogans. We just show you the slabs we have in the yard. Sometimes the 2nd Main Road gets blocked up, but that’s just life in the estate. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time. We know our granite and we know our neighbors. It’s the kind of place where things get done without too much fuss. We drink our tea and get the slabs loaded. That is how the day goes here. We don't worry too much about having the fanciest setup as long as the work gets done and the stone is ready.
