Navodhaya Siddha Hospital

You can find Navodhaya Siddha Hospital at No 2/12, Plot No 38 on 3rd Cross Street in Brindhavan Nagar. We are right across from the Kesavardini landmark in Valasarawakkam. It’s a quiet residential pocket compared to the main roads. We focus on Siddha medicine here, which is a bit different from what you find in most big city hospitals. The building is simple and sits on a regular plot. We have a small area where we keep the herbs and preparations. People come to us when they are looking for something traditional. Often, they’ve tried other things and want to see if this approach works better for them. We don't promise miracles. We just use the methods we were taught. The atmosphere here is pretty relaxed. We don't wear stiff uniforms or have a bunch of receptionists. It is usually just one or two of us handling the patients and the medicines. Valasarawakkam has changed a lot over the years, with more buildings going up, but our little corner on 3rd Cross Street has stayed much the same. We like the neighborhood feel of Brindhavan Nagar. Most of our patients are people from nearby streets who walk over. We spend a lot of time talking to people to understand what's really bothering them before we suggest anything. It is a slow process, but we think it’s the right way to do things in a Siddha hospital.
