Nagappa Collection

You can find us at number 466 on Anna Salai in Nandanam. If you have ever been to this part of the city, you know how the traffic is. It is always moving and there is always noise. Our shop, Nagappa Collection, sits right in the middle of all that. We have been here for a good amount of time. The inside of the shop is a bit of a contrast to the street outside because it is much quieter once you step through the door. We have shelves lined with clothes and various items we have collected over time. It is a bit of a mix of everything. We do not really follow a strict corporate plan. We just buy what we think looks good and what we think people in Nandanam will want to wear. The building is older so it has some character, maybe a few cracks here and there, but it is sturdy. We spend a lot of our day just chatting with people who stop by. Some are regulars who have been coming for years and others are just people stuck in traffic who decided to park and take a look. We keep the mirrors clean and the floor swept. That is about as fancy as we get. It is a family-style environment where everyone knows each other’s names. We just try to keep the shelves full and the lights on.
