Pethi Granites

We set up at Plot No. 2 in the Ts Krishna Nagar Extension over in Mugappiar East. If you know the area, it’s fairly straightforward to find us. Working with granite here has been our life for quite a bit. It’s mostly outdoor work, so the weather is always on our minds. When it’s sunny, the stone gets hot, and when it rains, the yard gets slick and muddy. Moving these big slabs around takes up most of the time. They are heavy and you have to be careful with them. Fancy furniture or a big air-conditioned office aren't part of the setup. It’s mostly just the yard and the stone. People from around Mugappiar East come by when they are building something new. Showing them what’s on the racks is just part of the day. A lot of physical work goes into loading and unloading. We’ve got a routine that works for us. Some days are slower than others, but there’s always something that needs cleaning or moving. Granite comes in different colors and patterns, and we just keep it all lined up as best we can. This is just a regular local business. Big advertisements aren't our thing. People usually just see the sign or hear about us from a neighbor. Staying here in Ts Krishna Nagar and doing what we’ve been doing for a long time feels right. It's simple work but it keeps us busy every day. Closing up happens when it gets dark and we start again the next morning. It is what it is.
