M.S. Exports

M.S. Exports is located on the third floor of a building on 2nd Main Road in Gandhi Nagar. Adyar is a nice part of town, though parking can be a real headache if you arrive after ten in the morning. We have a small office here, number 72. It’s mostly just a space for us to manage the export side of things. We spend a lot of time dealing with shipping schedules and customs paperwork. It’s not the most exciting work, but it’s what we know. The office gets a lot of natural light, which is nice during the day. We have a few cabinets full of files and a small table where we have our coffee. There are three of us working here full-time. We’ve been doing this for several years now. We know the routines and the people at the docks pretty well. Sometimes we have to stay late to talk to clients in different time zones. It's part of the trade. We don't really have a big staff or a fancy lobby. People usually just call us or send emails. We focus on making sure the goods get packed correctly and the containers are booked. It’s practical, everyday stuff. We just try to be reliable so people keep coming back to us when they need to send things abroad. It works for us. There is a small bakery downstairs that we go to for snacks in the afternoon. It's a simple life here in the office.
