You can find Midaas Engineering Contractors up on the first floor of building number 73 in J J Nagar. It is a bit of a walk up the stairs, but we actually like being off the ground floor because it's a little quieter. Most of our days are spent out on different job sites, so the office is often just one or two people keeping track of the phone calls and the mail. We do contracting work for all sorts of building projects and general engineering tasks. It involves a lot of measuring, drawing up basic plans, and checking on where the materials are. The office itself is very simple with just a few desks and some old filing cabinets that have seen better days. We usually have blueprints and sketches spread out all over the tables. J J Nagar is a good spot for us because it makes it easy to get to most parts of the city without too much trouble. We aren't some massive corporation with a huge staff. We are just a small group that knows how to get things built. Sometimes the old coffee machine in the corner gives up on us and we have to walk down to the corner shop for a cup, but we don't mind. We take each project as it comes. There is always some new rule to follow or a delay with the trucks, but that's just the business. It’s practical work and we enjoy seeing the buildings go up.
