Meenakshi Krishnan Polytechnic College

Our polytechnic college is located on Thirumalai Pillai Road, right in the heart of T. Nagar. If you know Chennai, you know how busy this area gets with all the shopping and traffic. The college building has been here for a long time. We have several labs with machines and tools where the students do their practical work. It can get quite loud in the workshops when everyone is working on their projects. We use a lot of grease and oil in the mechanical sections. The students wear their uniforms and carry their drawing boards around. We spend our days checking the equipment and making sure the classrooms are ready for the next batch. The office handles all the old and new files for the students. T. Nagar is always buzzing, and the sound of horns is something we hear all day long. During the lunch break, students head out to the local shops or sit in the shade on campus. We have a lot of practical exams throughout the year. The staff is mostly local people who have been here for years. We do not have a lot of fancy decorations in the hallways. It is a place for technical learning, so things are kept very practical. The bus stop is close by, which makes it easy for the students to commute from different parts of the city. It is a steady, busy place to be every single day.
