Mayur Marbles Chetpet

Our place, Mayur Marbles Chetpet, is at No 11/20 on Mayur Sathyamoorthy Road. We are quite close to the Trinity area, which is a landmark most people recognize around here. Chetpet is a busy neighborhood, and the road outside our shop is always packed with cars and bikes. We have been working with stone in this spot for years. The shop itself is a bit of a mix of everything, with tiles, marbles, and granite all squeezed into the space we have. It’s a bit messy sometimes, especially when we are cutting something to size in the back. The water from the saw gets everywhere and the floor stays wet for a long time. People usually find us because they live nearby or their contractor told them to stop by. We don't really do much to make the place look pretty; we just focus on keeping enough stock so people have choices. The mornings are usually spent cleaning the dust off the top slabs so the colors show through. It can get quite humid here, and we usually have a small radio playing in the background to pass the time. We aren't fancy people, just local workers trying to make a living in Chetpet. If you come by, you'll probably see us sitting out front during the quiet hours. It is a slow and steady kind of life here on Sathyamoorthy Road.
