It’s a busy area of Tamil Nadu, and Velachery always seems to have something going on. We are near the Spic Nagar area, so there are plenty of families and small shops around us. We don't really have a big sign outside, so you might miss us if you aren't looking closely. Inside, we just have our kitchen setup and some storage space. We spend most of our time preparing orders and cleaning up. It’s hard work and the humidity in Chennai doesn't make it any easier. But we like the community here. The neighbors are friendly and we sometimes chat when we are taking a break outside. We keep things simple and don't try to be anything we aren't. Just a local food business trying to make a living. We have a couple of delivery bikes that go in and out throughout the day. The street can get a bit narrow with parked cars, but we make it work. It’s a good little spot for us and we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the local traffic.
