Mahaveer Marble House

If you are driving down the East Coast Road in Kottivakkam, you will see us at 1/72. Mahaveer Marble House has been a part of this neighborhood for a good bit of time. ECR is always packed with traffic, especially on the weekends, but we stay busy during the week too. The shop is filled with different types of marble and stone. It gets quite dusty inside, but that is part of the job. I usually spend most of my time walking around the warehouse floor. We have some regulars who come in every time they are working on a new house nearby. It is nice to see familiar faces. We don't have a big marketing team or a polished website. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. Sometimes it’s a contractor looking for a lot of material, and other times it’s just someone needing a small piece for a repair. We try to keep things simple. Dealing with stone is heavy work, and it’s not always pretty. You get dirty and tired by the end of the day. But there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the stacks of marble and knowing where everything goes. Kottivakkam is a growing area, and it’s interesting to see how much has changed around us while we stay right here on the main road. We just keep doing what we do and try to stay organized among all the slabs.
