You can find us at number 5 on Jawaharlal Nehru Road, inside the Dharma Industrial Park over in Virugambakkam. It’s a typical Chennai industrial spot, meaning it gets quite humid in the afternoons. Our shed isn't very large, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need for our engineering work inside. We spend most of our time working with different types of metal components. There’s no air conditioning here, just a few heavy-duty ceiling fans that keep the air moving while we work. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings by mid-day, so we have to sweep up quite a bit. It’s not the kind of place where you’d want to wear your best clothes. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though you can barely hear it when the machines are really going. The park itself is always active with people moving crates and loading up vans. We’ve got a small area tucked away for our tools and a workbench that has seen better days. It’s functional, though. We don’t bother with much decoration because there’s no point in an engineering shop. Most of our visitors are just regulars from other nearby businesses or delivery drivers. We keep our heads down and handle the tasks as they come in. It’s straightforward work for us here, just making sure everything we produce is handled the right way before it leaves our doors. There is plenty of sweat and hard work involved.
