Kohinoor Marble House

Our shop, Kohinoor Marble House, is located at 165 Linghi Chetty Street in the Parrys area. It’s near Singapore Plaza, which is a landmark most people in Chennai know. Parrys is one of those places where the streets are narrow and always full of people and goods moving around. We’ve been in this old building for a long time. It has a lot of character, even if the walls are a bit stained and the floor is uneven. We keep all our marble slabs inside, and it’s a bit of a maze to walk through. We don't have a big marketing budget or a social media manager. We just open the doors in the morning and see who comes in. Usually, it’s people who are building a house or contractors we’ve known for years. Dealing with marble is heavy work, and our hands are always a bit rough from it. We like the business, though. There is something nice about the smell of wet stone when we’re cleaning the slabs. The traffic on Linghi Chetty Street can be a nightmare, so we usually tell people to come early if they want to park nearby. We just do our business, talk to our customers, and head home when the shutters go down. It’s a simple life and we’ve been at it for quite a while now. We don't overthink it, we just show what we have.
