Rite Nuts And Spices

Our shop is over on 31st Street in KK Nagar, specifically in the 6th Sector at 61/2. If you come by, the first thing you’ll probably notice is the smell of black pepper or maybe some cloves, depending on what we’re bagging that day. It’s a small operation at Rite Nuts And Spices. We don’t have those fancy automated systems you see on TV. A lot of what we do is still done by hand, weighing things out and making sure the bags are sealed properly. The street outside can get a bit cramped with bikes parked everywhere, but that’s just how KK Nagar is. We’ve got shelves stacked high with sacks, and sometimes it’s a bit of a squeeze to get around. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in Chennai. We just want to make sure the stuff we sell is what people expect. Sometimes the humidity makes the spices clump a bit, or a supplier forgets a crate, and we have to spend the morning sorting it out. It’s just part of the trade. Our regulars know that we might be a bit blunt or busy when they walk in, but we always have time to finish the sale. We don’t have a website that looks professional or anything. We just have this physical space where we work. It’s loud, it’s a bit messy with spice dust, but it’s where we are and what we know.
