Kannan Marine Foods

We are located at No. 103/2B on V.R. Pillai Street. People around here call this area Ice House, which is in Triplicane. It’s a very crowded part of Chennai, so there is always a lot of energy and noise right outside our door. Kannan Marine Foods has been a part of this street for a while now. We deal with seafood, so as you can imagine, things have to move fast. We get deliveries early and have to sort through everything while it’s still fresh. The space we have isn't huge, but we make the most of it. There’s always someone cleaning something or moving ice around to keep the fish cold. It’s a wet job and your hands are always busy. We don't have a receptionist or anything like that. If you walk in, you’ll probably just see us working. We know our customers well, mostly local folks and some regulars who have been buying from us for years. The street outside can be a nightmare with the motorbikes and the people walking everywhere, but that’s just Triplicane. We just focus on the food and making sure it’s handled the right way. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in the world. We just want to provide good seafood to the people who need it and keep our small business going. It’s hard work but it’s what we know how to do best around here.
