Kannan Juice Shop

Kannan Juice Shop is a small spot at number 29 in Taramani. We are very close to Tidel Park, so we see a lot of people who work in the big IT offices. They usually come out in the afternoons when they need a break from their desks. We keep the shop stocked with whatever fruit is in season, like mangoes or grapes. The space is quite small, so we have to keep everything organized or we would run out of room to move. We do not have a corporate structure or a manager in a suit. It is just me and a couple of guys from the neighborhood. We spend a lot of our time cutting fruit and cleaning up the sticky spills on the counter. The heat in Taramani can be pretty intense, so our fans are always running at full speed. Sometimes the water supply is a bit low, so we have to be careful about how we wash things. We do not use any fancy machines, just standard blenders and a manual press for the lemons. Most people come here because we have been in the same spot for years and they know what to expect. We do not try to sell anything extra. We just make the juice and chat with the customers if it is not too busy. It is a simple business and we are happy to be part of the daily life around Tidel Park.
