Easha Impex

Our place, Easha Impex, is on Nagathaman Koli Street in Mrg Nagar, which is over in Kanjeevaram. We are right across from Harsha Garden, which is a nice landmark for people who haven't visited us before. The street is quite busy because of the temple nearby, and you can always hear the bells or the sounds of people walking by. We do a lot of import and export work from this small office, which means we are often dealing with a lot of documents and shipping labels. The weather in Kanjeevaram can get very hot, so we usually have the fans running full blast all day. It’s a simple setup with just a few of us working together to make sure everything is on track. We are not a massive corporation with hundreds of employees; we are just a local team doing our bit. Sometimes the local goats wander near the entrance, and we have to shoo them away. It is a very grounded kind of work life. We spend a lot of time talking to local weavers and then figuring out where their products need to go next. It is not always smooth, and sometimes there are delays at the port or issues with the transport, but we just deal with it as it comes. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors all know us by name. There is always a stack of folders on the main table waiting to be sorted.
