Aadithiya Mills

Our place, Aadithiya Mills, is located over in Peelamedu. It’s a part of Tamil Nadu that most people know for this kind of work. The mill isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a big building where the work happens every day. It gets quite warm inside when all the equipment is running at once. We usually have the doors open to let some air in. The floor is always covered in a bit of dust or lint, which is normal for a mill. We’ve got a crew that’s been here for years, and we all just know what needs to be done. There isn't much talking when the machines are at full speed because it’s hard to hear anything else over the noise. We spend our time checking the threads and making sure nothing is breaking. It’s honest work. Sometimes the rain in Tamil Nadu gets heavy and we have to make sure the roof isn't leaking near the supplies. We are just Aadithiya Mills, doing what we do in Peelamedu. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting outside in whatever shade we can find. Then it’s back to the noise. We don't have a fancy website or anything like that. People just know where we are. It’s a simple setup but it works for us and keeps us busy year-round. Sometimes we get visitors who are surprised by how loud the mill is. We just give them some earplugs and keep working. There’s no point in stopping.
