Airson Textile Corporation

Airson Textile Corporation is based in Virugambakkam, specifically at No. 134/4 on Arcot Road. We are up on the second floor in Flat No. 6, tucked away in Nsk Lane. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but it is quieter up there than down on the main road. Arcot Road is always jammed with buses and cars, so once you get inside the building, it feels like a different world. We use the flat as our main office and storage for our textile samples. It still looks a bit like a residence, with a small kitchen area where we make coffee and a balcony that we mostly use for storing empty boxes. We have desks set up in what used to be the living room. It is not a high-end corporate setup at all. We have got files everywhere and some old calendars on the walls. Most of the day is spent talking to people or checking through the ledger books. We do not have a big staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, whether it is answering the door or helping move some heavy bags. The lane outside is narrow, so parking is always a headache for us. We just like the fact that we are in a familiar neighborhood where we know the local shops. It is a steady way of working, and we do not feel the need to change how we do things.
