Kamala Hospital

The hospital has been sitting here on S.R.P. Koil Street North for a long time now. It’s right opposite the T.V.K Nagar Bus Stand, so there’s always people moving around and buses making noise right outside our front gate. We started out small and just kept adding a bit here and there as the years went by. Living and working in Perambur means we see all sorts of things every day. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes it feels like the whole neighborhood passes by our door at least once a week. We have different rooms for different needs, and our staff mostly live nearby, so they walk or take the bus to work just like everyone else. The building itself is number 55, and it’s got that old look that shows we’ve been here through many seasons. We don't have those big shiny lobbies you see in the new city hospitals, just a desk and some benches where people wait. It’s a practical place. We deal with fevers, small accidents, and regular checkups for the families around here. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to switch things over, which is just part of life in this part of town. We just try to keep things moving and help out whenever someone walks in. It’s not fancy, but it’s our place and we take care of it as best as we can. Every day brings something new, and we just handle it one step at a time.
