Our office is over at No. 31/12 on Batwal Hindi Prachar Shabha Street. If you know T. Nagar, you know how busy it gets around there. It’s always a bit of a struggle with the traffic and the noise, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. Kalpana Agencies has been around for a while, and we’ve seen the street change quite a bit over the years. We deal with various things, mostly acting as a middleman for products. It’s a lot of tracking orders and making sure things arrive when they are supposed to, which they often don’t. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s a practical space with a lot of old ledgers and some newer computers. We have a couple of fans that stay on all day because it gets pretty hot in Chennai. We know the other shopkeepers on the street, and we often chat while getting tea in the afternoon. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a website that does everything for us; we still prefer talking to people on the phone or in person. It feels more real that way. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs doing every day. Dealing with deliveries in T. Nagar is always an adventure but we have figured out the shortcuts by now.
