Jaya Hospital

Jaya Hospital is situated at No. 4 Venkatesa Agraharam Road in Mylapore. This is a very old and traditional part of the city, and our building fits right in. We aren't a massive glass skyscraper; we are just a local hospital that’s been here for the folks in Mylapore for a long time. Being on Venkatesa Agraharam Road means we are close to the temples and the daily buzz of the market. The staff here is mostly local people who have been working in health for years. We handle all sorts of things, from basic fevers to more serious issues that need a few days of staying in a bed. The rooms are basic but they do the job. We don't spend much on decorations or fancy logos. Our energy goes into making sure the patients are looked after. Sometimes it gets a bit chaotic when many people show up at once, but we manage. There’s a certain rhythm to life here in Mylapore, and we are just part of it. You’ll often see people sitting on the benches outside waiting for their relatives. We know most of the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a busy place, but it has a heart. We don’t try to be anything we aren't. We are just a hospital at the end of the road helping the people who live nearby with whatever health problems they bring in. It's a lot of work, but we keep the doors open.
