Jagadamba Marbles & Granite

Over in Velchery, specifically at 245 Alachery Main Road in Periyar Nagar, you will find Jagadamba Marbles & Granite. It is a busy part of town, and we fit right in with the rest of the shops along the main road. We have been working out of this space at Thantahai for quite a while now. The shop is filled with various pieces of marble and granite, and sometimes it feels a bit crowded because we try to keep so much in stock. People are always walking by on the sidewalk, and the traffic on Alachery Main Road never really seems to slow down much. We spend our days mostly organizing the slabs and helping people who wander in looking for something for their homes. It is a lot of physical work, lifting and shifting the heavy stone so customers can see the patterns. We do not have any slick marketing or a big corporate vibe. It is just us in our work clothes, dealing with the daily tasks of running a stone business. The floor is usually covered in a bit of grit, and there is always a layer of dust on the desk. That is just how it goes when you work with marble and granite all day in a place like Velchery. We like the neighborhood and the people who live around here. It gets noisy at Thantahai sometimes, but we are used to it, and the work keeps us busy.
