Inter-Connected Stock Exchange Of India Ltd.

Our office is up on the 5th floor of Tower 7. We are in the International Infotech Park over in Vashi, Sector 30. It’s a big building, and sometimes the elevators take a while, especially in the morning. Being part of the Inter-Connected Stock Exchange of India Ltd. means we spend a lot of time looking at screens and talking on the phone. It’s a different kind of busy compared to a factory. There isn't any dust here, just the hum of computers and the sound of people typing. We have a lot of desks lined up. The view from the window is mostly other buildings and the train tracks. We drink a lot of tea to stay focused. Even though it sounds like a big corporate thing, the atmosphere in our specific area is pretty casual. We talk about our kids and what we did over the weekend while we wait for reports to finish. The coffee machine is always breaking down, which is the main thing we complain about. It’s a lot of data and numbers. Sometimes your eyes get tired by the end of the shift. We try to keep the paperwork organized, but it piles up sometimes. We aren't doing anything fancy, just the regular work that keeps the exchange side of things running. People come and go, but the core group has been here for years. It’s just a steady job in a big park. We try to leave on time when we can.
