Indian Statistical Institute

Our office is located at No 110 D Amba on the first floor. We are on Nelson Manickam Road in Aminjikarai, right next to the ICICI Bank. It’s a very busy part of Chennai, so there is always a lot of noise from the street. The building itself is an older one, and we share it with a few other businesses. We handle a lot of data and statistical work here, so the rooms are filled with computers and stacks of printed reports. It’s not the most modern-looking place you’ll ever see. We have some old wooden desks and chairs that have been around for quite a few years. Sometimes the air conditioning struggles on the really hot days, but we manage as best as we can. Most of the people working here are focused on their numbers and charts. We don't have a big marketing team or a fancy website. People usually find us because they need specific statistical help or they are involved in our research projects. The staff is small, and we all know each other well. We have our tea breaks together in the little pantry area. It’s a quiet, hardworking atmosphere most of the time. Being near the bank is helpful for people giving directions to our place. We’ve been in this spot for a long time and have no plans to move anywhere else for now. It’s just our daily place of work.
